Knife Attack on Saif Ali Khan Raises Concerns, Kareena Kapoor’s Absence Sparks Questions

Mumbai, Thursday: A knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in his Bandra residence during the wee hours of last Thursday shocked everyone. The incident was alleged to have taken place when an assailant broke into the house through the room of Saif’s youngest son, Jeh. It was reported that the attacker had an argument with the house help before stabbing Saif multiple times for intervening to protect his staff.

According to reports, Saif suffered six knife injuries, out of which two nearly reached his spine. The actor reportedly dragged himself to the hospital, accompanied by his son Taimur Ali Khan. As per reports, doctors extracted a 2.5-inch blade from one of his wounds. Saif is reported to be stable and the case has been referred to the Crime Branch for further investigation.

The police confirmed that the incident started from the commotion in Jeh’s room where the intruder had entered. While Saif was confronting the attacker to save his house help, the scuffle took place which injured him.

There have been questions over Saif’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, being absent during the incident and when she was admitted to the hospital. According to reports, Kareena had attended a party hosted by her friend, actress Sonam Kapoor, in the evening. According to sources, she came home drunk and refused to accompany Saif to the hospital or to the police station because she was scared of the media attention and potential backlash in case pictures or videos of her state were leaked.

As such, it is reported that she went to the residence of her sister Karisma Kapoor after the episode. The actress has not talked about this case, and none of her officials have reacted over the speculation associated with her presence.

The case was initially handled by the night PI on duty but was transferred the following morning to the Crime Branch, as per standard procedure. Mumbai Police have denied any allegations of mishandling the investigation or changes in the investigating officer due to external pressure.

The accused, whose identity is yet to be revealed, allegedly assaulted the house help before attacking Saif. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities are working to piece together the events leading to the violent confrontation.

The incident had left Bollywood in shock, where several celebrities aired their concern about the incident. Fans and several celebrities wished to see Saif recover soon and be back again. Kareena Kapoor Khan, too, has made headlines for appearing less active through her public platforms during this most crucial time for her husband.
