Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case Live Update: The Mumbai Police have detained the main suspect in Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case after an intense 30-hour manhunt. The actor was attacked at his Bandra residence in the early hours of January 16 during an attempted robbery that turned violent.

The attacker was said to have entered Jeh, his young son, with the aim of robbery. He attacked Jeh’s nanny, who tried to protect the child with all her might. She resisted him, but the assailant had no qualms as he started hacking at her with a blade while demanding ₹1 crore. The commotion made the other members of the house aware of the attack, and soon Saif confronted the assailant.

A scuffle ensued between Saif Ali Khan and the intruder, during which the actor suffered six injuries, including wounds on his neck, shoulder, back, wrist, and elbow. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent two surgeries and is now reported to be in a stable condition. Doctors plan to shift him to a general ward after consulting his family.

The police began by scanning CCTV footage from Bandra railway station. The attacker was seen in a brown collared T-shirt and a red scarf, armed with a wooden stick and a long hexa blade. He is captured on camera coming down the stairs at the station.

Finally, the suspect was caught at Bandra station and taken into police custody for interrogation. Preliminary investigations indicate that he was trying to board a local train going towards Vasai Virar. While the police have identified the suspect, they haven’t yet confirmed whether or not he is the same one who stabbed Saif Ali Khan.

The police have recovered a blade from Saif’s back during his surgery and are working to locate the remaining parts of the weapon. Investigators are piecing together the sequence of events leading up to the attack and are interviewing household staff, including the nanny who witnessed the incident firsthand.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif’s wife, immediately informed his elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who accompanied Saif to the hospital. The family is shaken but relieved that Saif is now recovering.

Mumbai Police are continuing their investigation to ensure justice is served. Further updates are awaited as the questioning of the suspect progresses.
