Unknown Attacker Launches Fatal Assault on Saif Ali Khan, Inflicting Deep Injuries to Neck and Back

Mumbai, Thursday: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times during a robbery attempt at his residence in Bandra West, Mumbai. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday on the 11th floor of the Satguru Sharan building, where the actor resides with his family.

Initial reports state that Saif Ali Khan was sleeping at his home with his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children, Taimur and Jeh, when an unknown intruder entered the apartment. When alerted to the presence of the intruder, Saif tried to catch him but was assaulted in the process. The thief ran away from the scene when other family members woke up and raised an alarm.

Saif Ali Khan received several injuries from the scuffle. He has two deep wounds, with one very close to his spine. He was taken straight to Lilavati Hospital from his place at around 3:30 a.m. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer, Lilavati Hospital, said, “Saif has been attacked by an unknown person in his home. He has six injuries, of which two are deeper.”. Another wound is closer to his spine. Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Leena Jain and Anaesthetist Dr Nisha Gandhi are operating him. A senior police officer from the Bandra Police Station confirmed the incident, saying, “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. It is yet to be determined whether he was stabbed or injured during a scuffle with the robber. Investigations are ongoing.” The Mumbai Crime Branch has also initiated a parallel investigation into the matter.

The news has sent shockwaves through Bollywood and the actor’s vast fan base. Saif’s family has not yet released an official statement. Security around the Bandra residence has been increased, and the police are reviewing CCTV footage from the building and surrounding areas to identify the perpetrator.
