Mona Alam Viral MMS: Renowned Pakistani anchor Mona Alam has termed the private video circulating on social media as a vicious attempt to defame her, saying that it was absolutely baseless. Posting evidence on her X account, she announced taking legal action against those involved.
A compromising situation, with the video claiming to have captured it, was the subject of much wide-ranging sharing on social media platforms. Mona explained that the footage is manipulated and, in turn, alleged her critics to have used this manufactured video to malign her name.
In her social media post, Mona shared a screenshot from the alleged video, pointing out that the individual in the footage is not her but a known criminal. “This woman’s objectionable video is being spread by petty haters on social media, claiming it’s me,” she wrote. To further debunk the claims, she shared a verified image of the real person in the video and emphasized her intent to pursue justice.
“She’s a proven criminal herself and hence posting her real screen grab for clarity. I’ve moved Agencies; My character is spotless, and all campaigners against it will face the MUSIC!” she asserted. Mona also included a copy of the police complaint she has filed, signaling her commitment to taking legal action against the culprits.

The incident is part of a growing trend where fabricated private videos of public figures are shared online to discredit them. Over the past few months, several prominent Pakistani personalities, including Maryam Faisal, Kanwal Aftab, Minahil Malik, Mathira Mohammad, and Imsha Rehman, have been targeted in similar campaigns.
Such cases stretch across borders. Indian personalities also became a victim in such cases; for instance, an influencer like Sona Dey or the Malayalam actress Pragya Nagra got involved. The severity of cases against online privacy and even using digital media for the defamation of people has called into serious questions.
Mona’s firm stance against the allegations not only highlights the need for accountability in the digital space but also underscores the importance of standing up against cyberbullying and misinformation. Her decision to take legal action serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting one’s reputation in the face of such attacks.
