Bajaj Auto has officially unveiled the 2025 Bajaj Chetak 35 Series electric scooter in India. With significant upgrades and a modern platform, the new Chetak series promises to take its position among the competitors in the highly competitive electric scooter market.
Bajaj Chetak electric scooter price
The 2025 Chetak 35 series comes in three variants: 3501, 3502, and 3503. Though the mid-tier 3502 variant is available at ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the premium 3501 variant with additional features commands ₹1.27 lakh. Pricing details for the top-of-the-line variant, 3503, have not been released.
Design and Features
The new Chetak retains its signature retro-inspired design but with subtle styling updates and vibrant new colour options. The fully digital TFT touchscreen dashboard is available exclusively in the premium 3501 variant. It comes with:
- Smartphone Connectivity
- Music Controls
- Integrated Maps
- Geofencing
- Other innovative smart features
The scooter is built on a redesigned frame, with a larger 3.5 kWh battery pack that promises a claimed range of 153 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged to 80% in three hours using a 950-watt onboard charger. The repositioned battery in the footboard area also frees up space for a generous 35-litre under-seat storage compartment.
Performance and Comfort
The 2025 Chetak 35 series has improvements in ergonomics for a more comfortable ride. Some of the key enhancements include:
- A seat that is 80 mm longer for better rider and pillion comfort
- An extended footboard by 25 mm for added leg and knee room
Powered by a lighter 4.2 kW (5.6 bhp) electric motor, the scooter reaches a top speed of 73 km/h. Enhanced motor cooling and a reinforced battery casing with added sheet metal for protection further improve performance and reliability. Riders can choose between two modes—Eco and Sport—tailored for different driving styles.
Availability and Warranty
Bookings for the 2025 Chetak 35 series are now open on Bajaj’s official website and at dealerships across India. Deliveries for the 3501 variant are expected to begin in late December 2024 followed by the 3502 variant in January 2025. The scooter comes with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty. And that’s not all.
The 2025 Bajaj Chetak 35 series, with a blend of classic design, modern technology, and improved performance, promises to redefine the electric scooter market in India.
