Hamirpur: In a heartwarming initiative aimed at providing relief during the cold winter months, petitioners visiting the Hamirpur Collectorate will now be served free hot coffee. The initiative, spearheaded by District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena, was officially launched on Monday with the installation of a coffee machine in the Collectorate premises.
Speaking on the occasion, District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena said that the move is aimed at providing relief to people traveling long distances to address their grievances at the office during the chilly weather. “This initiative will bring much-needed relief to visitors who often face harsh winter conditions,” he stated.
Amongst others who were present at the inaugural event are Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Dr. Nagendra Nath Yadav, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Vijay Shankar Tiwari, Deputy Collector Khalid Anjum, among others.
The step has gained appreciation from everyone as an honest gesture to the welfare of citizens, showcasing the care taken by the administration for the betterment of its public.
