Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday delivered a strong message on faith, discipline, and national responsibility while addressing a Murti Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Sonipat, Haryana. Speaking before saints, devotees, and local leaders, the Chief Minister highlighted the deeper meaning of spiritual life and warned against the misuse of religion to weaken Sanatan Dharma.
CM Yogi said that for a yogi, saint, or sanyasi, nothing holds greater importance than religion and the nation. He emphasized that such individuals do not live for personal wealth or material possessions. According to him, dharma itself becomes their only property, and the nation their true pride and self-respect. His remarks reflected the traditional spiritual philosophy that places service, sacrifice, and discipline above personal gain.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister cautioned people to remain vigilant against individuals who act against religious values while pretending to protect them. He noted that throughout history, there have been forces that use religion as a cover to weaken Sanatan Dharma from within. Stressing the need for awareness, CM Yogi said society must be careful to identify such misleading elements and not fall prey to their intentions.
He further stated that Sanatan Dharma has always played a vital role in shaping India’s moral and cultural identity. When practiced with sincerity and responsibility, it strengthens social harmony and national unity rather than creating divisions. CM Yogi linked spiritual values with nation-building, saying that true religious conduct inspires duty, discipline, and collective responsibility.
The Murti Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Sonipat witnessed the presence of several saints, religious scholars, and community members. Traditional rituals were performed amid Vedic chants, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.
