UP CM Yogi Adityanath Takes a Dig at Rahul Gandhi, Calls Him ‘Namuna’

Namuna

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a sharp jibe at Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as a Namuna. In a candid conversation with ANI, CM Yogi addressed a range of issues, from Ayodhya and Mathura to Congress’ stance on historical controversies and governance.

During the podcast, Yogi Adityanath mocked Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, calling it ‘Bharat Todo Abhiyan.’ He remarked, “The Bharat Jodo Yatra is not about uniting India but breaking it. Rahul Gandhi criticizes India outside the country. The nation has understood his real intentions. In Indian politics, BJP will always need specimens like Rahul Gandhi to ensure a clear and smooth path ahead.”

Yogi Adityanath on Ram Mandir and Congress’ Role

The UP CM didn’t hold back in criticizing Congress over the Ram Mandir issue, alleging that the party wanted to keep the Ayodhya dispute alive for political gains. He also questioned the party’s inaction on critical social reforms. “Why did Congress never abolish triple talaq? Why did they fail to promote Kumbh Mela with pride? Why didn’t they provide world-class infrastructure in the country?” he asked.

‘Muslims Are Safest in UP’: Yogi on Owaisi’s Allegations

Addressing the condition of minorities in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi emphasized that Muslims in the state are safer than ever. “A Muslim family living among 100 Hindu families is completely safe and has full religious freedom. But what happens when 50 Hindu families live among 100 Muslim families? Are they safe? Look at Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan for the answer. Here in UP, if Hindus are safe, Muslims are also safe. Before 2017, riots were common; both Hindu and Muslim shops were burned. After 2017, peace prevails,” he stated.

Responding to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s claim that “Muslims are in danger” in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi dismissed the statement, asserting that it is not the Muslim community but Owaisi’s vote-bank politics that is in jeopardy.

Will Yogi Aim for a Hat-Trick in 2027?

When questioned about his plans for a third term as Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath deflected personal ambition, saying, “Seva, Suraksha, Sushasan (Service, Security, and Good Governance) are the pillars of our government. I will not try for a third term—our party will. Any BJP worker can become the Chief Minister.”

Reflecting on his journey, he added, “For the first time since Independence, a Chief Minister in UP has completed five years and won re-election with a two-thirds majority. This is the result of strong leadership and the people’s trust.”

With his remarks, CM Yogi once again positioned himself as a strong advocate of Hindutva and development politics. His statements on Rahul Gandhi, Congress, and Owaisi reaffirm the BJP’s aggressive stance ahead of the upcoming elections. As the political landscape heats up, all eyes will be on how opposition parties respond to Yogi Adityanath’s sharp political rhetoric.
