Sunanda Sharma Case: Punjabi singer Sunanda Sharma has made sensational claims against music producer Pinky Dhaliwal, accusing him of emotional harassment and financial fraud. She alleged that Dhaliwal denied her rightful share of money, which had caused her immense mental stress. The producer was detained on Saturday after she lodged a complaint.

Sharing an emotional post on Instagram, Sunanda described her ordeal. She came forward to disclose that Dhaliwal not only did not pay her for the work she did but also took charge of all her financial transactions. The singer added that the problem is not just about money—it is a matter of exploiting diligent artists, especially those who come from middle-class families. “Numerous artists work day and night to establish their careers, only to be cheated by powerful people who exploit their hard work,” she wrote in Punjabi.

Sunanda Sharma articulated how much the situation impacted her mental well-being. She conceded that she silently suffered, weeping alone for days. “I even contemplated taking my own life, but I continued smiling in public. I knew that if I crumbled, another person would take advantage of my weakness,” she revealed.

Urging other artists who have experienced such maltreatment to speak out, this artist requested them to step forward and reveal their stories. She also requested the authorities to intervene and appreciated Punjab’s Chief Minister for recognizing her struggle. “I have been begging, ‘Please don’t do it,’ for two years now. I request the authorities to assist me to get my rightful pay. I am thankful to the Chief Minister and Punjab media for their support,” she continued.

Pinky Dhaliwal, who operated Mad4Music and Amar Audio, has been charged with financial irregularities and intimidation. Sunanda alleged that even though she earned more than ₹250 crore from her work, she was never paid in person. Dhaliwal is said to have taken all her earnings for himself, leaving her in a state of financial hardship.

Based on her complaints, Dhaliwal accumulated riches through the theft of her earnings and compelling her to sing at engagements without just rewards. Whenever she requested her rightful pay, he purportedly threatened to ruin her career and sully her name in the industry.

The incident has triggered outrage in the entertainment world, with various artists and fans rallying behind Sunanda. Most are now demanding stricter laws to safeguard artists from financial and mental exploitation.
