Shubham Gupta Sex Scandal: BJP Distances Itself from Viral ‘130 Obscene Videos’ Case, Says Accused Was Removed in 2023 for Anti-Party Activities

Shubham Gupta Sex Scandal: The BJP has clarified that Seema Gupta, whose family is involved in the viral ‘130 obscene videos’ controversy, was expelled from the party in 2023 due to anti-party activities. The scandal has triggered political uproar in Uttar Pradesh.

Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh – June 1, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a firm clarification regarding the explosive ‘130 obscene videos’ controversy that has rocked Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape. The party claims that Seema Gupta—allegedly linked to the viral scandal through her son and his girlfriend—was removed from her post in 2023 due to “anti-party activities and inactivity.”

Seema Gupta previously served as the Women’s Wing President of the BJP’s North Chapatti Mandal unit in Mainpuri. However, BJP Women’s Wing District President Sadhna Tiwari confirmed that Gupta was relieved of her duties last year. “She no longer holds any position in the party, nor is she invited to any BJP event,” said Tiwari, reinforcing the party’s distance from the ongoing scandal.

Shubham Gupta Sex Scandal: A Family at the Center of the Storm

The controversy erupted after several obscene videos allegedly involving Shubham Gupta, Seema Gupta’s married son, and his girlfriend went viral on social media. The videos reportedly depict intimate moments and have triggered both criminal cases and social outrage.

Shubham’s wife, Sheetal Gupta, has filed a case of domestic violence and dowry harassment at the local women’s police station. Her complaint states that she was physically and mentally tortured by her husband, in-laws, and sister-in-law, with continuous demands for a four-wheeler as additional dowry. The couple married on November 30, 2021.

“On May 24, 2025, I was locked in a room and brutally beaten,” Sheetal stated in her FIR. “They tried to kill me. I somehow managed to escape and save my life.”

Counter Case by Shubham’s Girlfriend

Meanwhile, Shubham’s girlfriend has filed a counter FIR at Mainpuri Kotwali, accusing Sheetal, her brother-in-law Neeraj Gupta, and sister-in-law Khushboo of stealing and leaking her private video. According to the FIR, the accused trio allegedly blackmailed her and circulated the video across various platforms, demanding money and threatening to destroy her reputation if she did not comply.

“My life has been turned into a nightmare,” the woman said. “They have destroyed my dignity and caused immense mental trauma.”

Akhilesh Yadav Slams BJP Over ‘Hypocrisy’

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav took a sharp dig at the BJP, calling the scandal a reflection of the party’s internal rot. Posting on social media, he wrote:

“The BJP’s notorious ‘130 video scandal’ from Mainpuri competes with their infamous Karnataka episode. Since this scandal erupted from a BJP member’s household, their IT Cell cannot blame the opposition this time. Soon, women will avoid even the shadow of BJP members.”

Yadav questioned the BJP’s “Nari Vandana Abhiyan” (Women Respect Campaign), calling it “hypocritical” in light of recent developments.

Tourism Minister Responds to Public Outrage

Facing mounting political pressure, Mainpuri MLA and Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh addressed the media on Saturday. “There is no such active female leader in our organization. She was removed long ago for anti-party behavior,” he said.

“The matter is under police investigation, with two FIRs filed—one in the women’s police station and another at the city Kotwali. Legal proceedings will follow based on facts and evidence,” Singh added.

Adding more fuel to the fire, insiders claim Seema Gupta had close ties with a prominent BJP woman leader from the Braj region’s working committee. The unnamed leader, previously seen with Seema at various events, has now reportedly gone silent, raising eyebrows within the party.

A Political Storm Brewing

As investigations continue, the BJP is making every effort to contain the damage, insisting that Seema Gupta no longer represents the party. However, the scandal has already left a dent in the party’s image, especially in the backdrop of its ongoing women-centric campaigns.

The coming days will determine whether this incident becomes just another blip in the political radar—or a turning point in public sentiment.
