Sharanjeet Hotel Lucknow News: Lucknow was given a jolt on New Year’s Day with the gruesome crime scene that surfaced in Hotel Sharanjeet, Naka police station area. A young man, identified as 24-year-old Arshad, committed the barbaric murder of his mother and four sisters.

The four girls were killed instantaneously, whereas their mother breathed her last immediately.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Ravina Tyagi confirmed that the crime had taken place at Hotel Sharanjeet. The police had been intimated immediately and senior officers had also reached the location, which includes the officials from the commissionerate. Arshad was immediately caught, and he is under custody.

The victims have been identified as follows:

• Alia (9 years)
• Alshiya (19 years)
• Aksa (16 years)
• Rahmeen (18 years)
• Asma (mother)

Preliminary investigations indicate that this heinous crime may have been triggered by a protracted family dispute. Police sources report that Arshad was facing tremendous mental pressure, which possibly culminated into the crime.

Arshad, a resident of Islam Nagar, Tedhi Bagiya in the Kuberpur area of Agra, has reportedly been dealing with personal and familial challenges. His father has been identified as Badar.
