Vote Chori: Fake voters are being added, alleges Rahul Gandhi, accusing the Election Commission (EC) of colluding with the BJP to manipulate the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at a press conference at the AICC headquarters, the Congress leader stated that unless the EC provides machine-readable voter data from the past 10-15 years and relevant CCTV footage, it is complicit in this “crime” against the Indian Constitution.

Rahul Gandhi highlighted a detailed six-month investigation conducted by Congress, analyzing data from the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituency and the Mahadevapura Assembly segment. The findings revealed over 100,000 suspicious votes, including nearly 12,000 duplicate voters, 40,000 voters with fake or invalid addresses, more than 10,000 bulk voters registered under single addresses, over 4,000 voters with invalid photos, and nearly 34,000 instances of misuse of Form 6 for new voter registration.
Gandhi emphasized that this issue is not isolated to Karnataka but a nationwide problem undermining the democratic principle of “one person, one vote.” He pointed out that while Congress won six out of seven assembly segments in Bangalore Central, the Mahadevapura segment’s overwhelming BJP victory by over 114,000 votes skewed the final result, giving BJP a slim margin of 32,707 votes in the constituency. According to Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s narrow majority hinges on winning 25 seats by margins under 33,000 votes, which explains the alleged targeted effort to “steal” elections.
Further, Gandhi criticized the Election Commission for changing laws to deny transparency, particularly by withholding machine-readable data and CCTV footage, which he argues is an attempt to cover up widespread electoral fraud. He labeled elections today as “choreographed,” citing the failure of exit polls and internal surveys, and questioned the sincerity of the EC in protecting the integrity of elections.
Calling for urgent judiciary intervention, Gandhi warned that democracy in India is at stake if these allegations remain unaddressed. He urged civil society and citizens to demand transparency, accountability, and protection of electoral sanctity, underscoring that safeguarding free and fair elections is a national duty. The Congress party continues to press for full disclosure of electoral data and intends to pursue legal and public actions to expose and prevent electoral manipulations, reaffirming their commitment to uphold democratic values and the Constitution. fake voters, election commission, BJP collusion, Rahul Gandhi allegations, 2024 Lok Sabha polls, voter fraud, election transparency, Indian democracy, machine-readable data, voter list manipulation, Bangalore Central constituency, Mahadevapura segment, vote chori, Form 6 misuse, judiciary intervention, election integrity, democratic principles, electoral data transparency
