PM Modi inaugurates Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Showcasing India’s Automotive Strength and Mobility Vision

New Delhi, January 17 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the much-awaited Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 today, highlighting India’s burgeoning automotive industry and its ambitious strides toward future mobility solutions. Addressing an audience of industry leaders, policymakers, and global stakeholders, PM Modi emphasized the positive outlook surrounding India’s mobility sector and its readiness for the future.

In the next 5 to 6 days, thousands of people will visit this Expo, and innumerable new vehicle launches are likely to be done. It is a huge positive energy about the future of mobility in India,” PM Modi said.

He termed India’s auto industry as both “fantastic and future-ready” and underlined the impressive growth, noting that the sector had been growing by 12 percent every year. With the guiding mantra of ‘Make in India, Make for the World,’ automotive exports have seen a surge from India too.

PM Modi paid tributes to industry stalwarts Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki for their pivotal roles in shaping India’s mobility landscape. “Their contributions have been instrumental in fulfilling the aspirations of India’s middle class and driving the growth of the automotive sector. Their legacy will continue to inspire the entire mobility sector,” he added.
In this, he focused on creating a mobility system that promotes both economic growth and ecological sustainability, under the green technology, electric vehicles (EVs), hydrogen fuel, and biofuels. In addition, efforts are to reduce dependence on imports of fossil fuel and achieve India’s goal for energy independence as well as for environmental protection.

The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme was also highlighted as a game-changer in the industry. “The PLI Scheme has generated sales worth over ₹2.25 lakh crore and created more than 1.5 lakh direct jobs in the auto sector,” the PM added.

Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 Highlights

Themed “Beyond Boundaries: Co-creating Future Automotive Value Chain,” Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is conceived to foster cross-industry collaborations and innovation for the automotive and mobility sectors, with a thrust on sustainability and advanced technology for unifying the global mobility value chain under one platform. The key highlights of the event are: It will feature 9 concurrent shows and more than 20 conferences and pavilions.

  • Exhibitors and visitors from around the world to make it a fully international event.

The Expo runs from January 17 to 22, spread across three venues: Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, and the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida.

Organized by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India, in partnership with industry bodies and government support, the Expo underlines India’s commitment to becoming a global leader in mobility solutions.
