Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (October 8, 2025): Popular Bhojpuri actor-singer Pawan Singh finally addressed his ongoing marital dispute with his wife Jyoti Singh during a press conference held in Lucknow. The actor detailed the events that unfolded on the night Jyoti unexpectedly arrived at his residence, marking yet another chapter in their strained relationship.
Legal Battle in Two Districts
Speaking to the media, Pawan Singh clarified that their legal matters are progressing simultaneously in two separate courts.
“The divorce case is in Ara from my side, while the maintenance case is in Ballia from Jyoti’s side,” he said. “The law matters equally to both of us,” he added, emphasizing his respect for legal procedures.
Jyoti’s Sudden Arrival in Lucknow
Pawan revealed that Jyoti Singh had announced her visit through an Instagram post, stating, ‘I’m coming to meet my husband in Lucknow.’ According to Pawan, he was aware of her behavior and had already informed the local administration about the potential situation.
“We were having dinner when one of my friends mentioned that Jyoti’s brother said she was coming. I told them to ask her to wait for a day or two because I wasn’t feeling well,” Pawan recalled.
“I Was Asleep When She Came Home”
The Bhojpuri star narrated how the unexpected meeting took place.
“I was asleep when my elder brother informed me that Jyoti had arrived. I want to make it clear that I respect the law. I got up, got ready, and went to meet her. My younger brother Ritik and my friend Dhananjay brought Jyoti, her sister Juhi, her brother Durgesh, and a boy who handles her social media. I met all of them respectfully,” he said.
“I Offered Her Tea and Tried to Calm Her Down”
Pawan Singh stated that he treated Jyoti politely and even offered her tea in an attempt to resolve matters peacefully.
“Jyoti said she wouldn’t leave until our divorce case was settled. I asked her if two people fighting a court case can live under the same roof. I explained things calmly, but she refused to listen. I went to attend a meeting and told Dhananjay to make sure she was comfortable,” he said.
However, the situation reportedly escalated while Pawan was away. “When I checked my phone after the meeting, I learned that something had gone wrong at home. I thought it was better not to return immediately. I even instructed Dhananjay to ensure Jyoti faced no issues,” he added.
“I Spent the Entire Night in My Car”
In a surprising revelation, Pawan Singh said that he spent the entire night in his car to avoid further confrontation.
“I didn’t go home that night. I stayed in my car till morning,” he stated, describing the emotional toll the ongoing dispute has taken on him.
