Patiala Flood Update live – The Patiala District Administration has declared a high alert for several villages under Rajpura Sub-Division following heavy rainfall in the catchment area of the Ghaggar River. Authorities have cautioned residents to remain vigilant and avoid venturing near the riverbanks as water levels continue to rise.

In an official advisory, Rajpura SDM Mr. Avikesh Gupta listed more than 20 villages that are likely to be affected. These include Sanjarpur, Untsar, Darba, Salempur, Shamshpur, Jandmagoli, Harpalan, Rampur, Saunta, Mariyan, Kapuri, Kamalpur, Sarala Kalan, Sarala Khurd, Kami Khurd, Chamarru, Lachhru Khurd, Mahidudan, Manjauli, Maru, Jambomajra, Jameetgarh, and Mehmadpur, along with surrounding areas.
The administration has advised villagers to stay alert, avoid unnecessary travel near the Ghaggar River, and immediately report any emergency. For assistance, residents may contact the Flood Control Room in Rajpura at 01762-224132 or the Patiala District Control Room at 0175-2350550.
Officials have also appealed to the public not to fall prey to rumors and to rely only on verified updates from the district administration.
With the monsoon still active in the region, authorities are closely monitoring the situation. Relief and response teams are on standby to ensure the safety of the residents in case of flooding.
