According to Saharsh Yadav, SHO of Kanadia Police Station, the blast happened around 9:45 a.m. when students were testing a 0.1% dilution of hydrochloric acid. During the experiment, a glass beaker failed to withstand the generated heat, resulting in a small explosion.

“The beaker couldn’t absorb the heat and burst, causing minor glass splinters to hit nearby students. As per initial reports, five children suffered superficial injuries. Fortunately, both teachers present in the lab escaped unharmed,” SHO Yadav confirmed.

School Responds Promptly, Issues Clarification

The school management acted immediately following the incident. Injured students were given first aid treatment, and their parents were promptly informed. A detailed internal inquiry was also conducted to ensure there were no procedural lapses.

The school has reportedly issued a circular to all parents, assuring them of student safety and explaining the circumstances of the accident.

“It was a controlled lab experiment that went wrong due to a heat imbalance in the beaker. There was no negligence or serious risk involved,” an internal note from the school stated.

Police Monitoring the Situation, Legal Action if Complaints Arise

Authorities have confirmed that no formal complaints have been received so far. However, the Kanadia Police assured that they will take appropriate legal action if any grievances are filed by parents or guardians.

“The matter is under review. If anyone lodges a complaint regarding negligence, the police will act as per the law,” SHO Yadav added.
