The Middle East conflict has entered a dangerous new phase as Benjamin Netanyahu called on global leaders to stand alongside Israel and the United States in their escalating confrontation with Iran. Speaking from the southern Israeli city of Arad, recently hit by Iranian missiles, Netanyahu warned that Tehran’s actions now pose a threat far beyond Israel’s borders.
In a strongly worded statement, Netanyahu described Iran as an “enemy of civilization,” accusing it of deliberately targeting civilians, including children and families. He pointed to recent missile strikes on Israeli cities such as Dimona and Arad as evidence of what he called an expanding and dangerous military campaign. According to him, these developments show that Iran is not only challenging Israel but also destabilizing global security.
Netanyahu also raised alarm over Iran’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes. He accused Tehran of attempting to disrupt international shipping and energy supplies, warning that such moves could have far-reaching consequences for economies across the globe. The Strait handles nearly one-fifth of global oil shipments, making any disruption a serious concern for international markets.
Calling for urgent global action, Netanyahu questioned the lack of a unified international response and urged world leaders to act swiftly. He welcomed the stance taken by Donald Trump, who has advocated stronger measures against Iran, and stressed that coordinated efforts are necessary to counter what he described as a growing global threat.
The situation intensified after Iran launched ballistic missile attacks targeting Arad and Dimona, leaving around 100 people injured, including children. The Israel Defense Forces reported significant damage to residential areas, with emergency services continuing rescue and relief operations. These strikes are believed to be in retaliation for earlier attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, including those in Natanz.
Adding to the tension, Iran’s recent military actions have highlighted its expanding capabilities. Reports indicate that Tehran attempted to strike a joint US-UK base in Diego Garcia, a remote island in the Indian Ocean located thousands of kilometers away. Although the attack caused no casualties, it raised serious concerns among global defense experts about Iran’s ability to project power over long distances.
