The announcement, made on Monday, outlines a major shift in the way Indian audiences will experience international cricket over the next two years.
As part of the newly formed agreement, JioStar will take the digital reins, providing exclusive live streaming of all matches on JioHotstar. This includes every game across formats—Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Fans who prefer watching on the go or from their mobile devices will now be able to catch every moment of India’s cricket action in England right on their screens through JioHotstar.
Meanwhile, SPNI will retain the linear television rights for the two tours. All matches will be televised on the Sony Sports Network, ensuring that traditional TV viewers also get uninterrupted access to the high-voltage cricket series.
The partnership kicks off with the highly awaited five-match Test series between India and England, set to begin on June 20, 2025. The series will mark the beginning of a two-year broadcasting collaboration that covers India’s full tour cycles in England.
