Delhi was shaken once again by a shocking act of violence when Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif, was brutally murdered in the Nizamuddin area late Thursday night. The horrifying incident, triggered by a dispute over parking a scooter, has left the community in disbelief. CCTV footage from the scene has now surfaced, capturing Asif’s desperate fight for his life as he faced a relentless attack by two men, identified as Ujjwal and Gautam. Despite sustaining multiple injuries, Asif resisted fiercely, trying to hold off the attackers until his last breath.

According to reports, the deadly altercation erupted around 11 p.m. in Bhogal Bazaar Lane, Nizamuddin police station area. The argument allegedly began when a scooter was parked outside Asif’s house. Relatives claim Asif simply asked the owner to move it, saying, “Bhai, scooter to leave it here,” which escalated into a heated exchange. Police sources suggest this may not have been a random confrontation, as there had been previous disputes between Asif and the accused over parking issues, hinting at possible enmity.
The CCTV footage reveals the attackers seemed prepared for violence. As the quarrel broke out, one assailant grabbed Asif while the other suddenly struck him with a sharp weapon. In the chaos, Asif managed to overpower one attacker, holding him in a tight grip, but the cramped lane filled with parked vehicles caused him to stumble and fall. Taking advantage, the second attacker repeatedly stabbed him in the stomach before concealing the weapon.
Even after sustaining severe injuries, Asif got back on his feet and continued fighting both men, showing incredible courage. Witnesses tried to intervene, but the attackers remained aggressive. Shockingly, after the brutal assault, neither Ujjwal nor Gautam showed any remorse. Instead, they stood at the scene, hurling threats and attempting to advance again before eventually leaving while abusing bystanders.
The tragic death of Asif has sparked outrage in the locality and on social media, with people demanding swift justice. The chilling visuals from the CCTV not only expose the merciless nature of the attack but also highlight the alarming ease with which violence can erupt over petty disputes in the capital. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused, while Asif’s family mourns the loss of a loved one whose bravery in the face of death has left many heartbroken
