Ghaziabad Sarovar Portico Hotel Sex Racket Busted: Ghaziabad Police have busted an alleged high-profile sex racket operating from the Sarovar Portico Hotel, leading to the arrest of hotel manager Rahul Sharma and the rescue of 11 women. Officials treated the women as victims and later released them after completing necessary formalities.

The raid was carried out following specific intelligence inputs about suspicious activities inside the hotel. According to police sources, the operation was allegedly being managed in a structured manner. Investigators claim that Rahul Sharma maintained thousands of profiles of women, which were reportedly shared with potential clients on demand. Customers were allegedly called to the hotel after selecting profiles.
Police teams entered the premises and detained several individuals during the operation. Digital devices, including mobile phones and other electronic equipment, were seized from the spot for further investigation. Authorities are now examining data records to determine the scale of the alleged network and whether it had links beyond Ghaziabad.
Rahul Sharma was arrested on the spot and is currently being questioned. Officials suspect that the racket may have been functioning for a considerable period. Financial transactions connected to the operation are also under scrutiny, and investigators are tracing possible money trails.
Another accused in the case, identified as Nirdosh Kasana, is currently absconding. Police said he allegedly described himself as a BJP youth leader. However, authorities have not confirmed any formal political position and clarified that verification is part of the ongoing investigation. Teams have been deployed to locate and apprehend him.
The Sarovar Portico Hotel has previously been in the spotlight. In an earlier incident, the West Bengal STF conducted a raid at the same property in connection with an alleged blackmail case involving a cricketer. That case had attracted significant attention at the time, raising questions about monitoring and compliance mechanisms within the establishment.
Police have registered a case under relevant legal provisions and stated that further arrests cannot be ruled out. Officials are also exploring whether digital platforms were used to facilitate the alleged activities.
