A 19-year-old college student in Bengaluru has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by her social media acquaintance and his associate at a Rex Villa on the night of February 14. The case has prompted swift action from the Amruthahalli Police, who have registered a gang rape case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

According to the complaint, the young woman is a first-year BA student studying at a private college in Bengaluru and originally hails from Tamil Nadu. She reportedly came in contact with one of the accused, identified as Dixson Sandro (21), a native of West Bengal, through Instagram about a month before the incident.
The two later met at a café in Koramangala, after which they remained in touch. On February 14, the accused allegedly invited her to a party at a property identified as “Rex Villa,” located near Jakkur.
The complainant stated that she arrived at the villa shortly after midnight along with a friend. At the location, Dixson was reportedly accompanied by another accused, Nikhil (35), said to be from Sakleshpur.
In her statement, the student alleged that the two men forcibly administered a pink-coloured pill to her. She said she soon began to feel dizzy and semi-conscious. She further alleged that both accused sexually assaulted her inside a room at the villa without her consent and confined her there for several hours.
According to her complaint, the accused later dropped her near a mall in the city. She claimed that one of them threatened her with serious consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
The young woman did not immediately approach the police, citing fear and trauma. On February 17, after informing her brother and seeking medical treatment at a private hospital, she lodged a formal complaint.
Based on her statement, Amruthahalli Police registered a case under Sections 64 (rape), 70(1) (gang rape), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Police sources confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the accused, examine CCTV footage from the surrounding areas, and collect forensic evidence linked to the alleged crime scene.
Officials stated that the matter is being investigated thoroughly. As per legal principles, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
