On Wednesday, addressing the media, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the decision regarding the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s post will be taken collectively. He further added, “Eknath Shinde ji has resolved all uncertainties. We will soon sit together and make a final decision.”
Shinde’s Assurance to BJP Leadership
Earlier in the day, Eknath Shinde announced his unflinching support for the BJP’s choice for the top post, signaling a united front. “For the past two-four days, there have been rumors that someone is upset. Let me clarify—we are not the ones to get upset. I spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and informed him that there are no hurdles from our side in forming the government,” Shinde said during a press conference.

Shinde also reiterated his faith in the BJP’s top leadership, Union Home Minister Amit Shah among them, by saying, “Whatever decision the BJP takes about the CM’s post, Shiv Sena will completely support their candidate.”
BJP Wins Maharashtra Elections 2024
The recent Maharashtra Assembly elections witnessed a historic victory for the Mahayuti alliance, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, and the NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar. The BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 132 seats in the 288-member Assembly.
