Chitkara University proudly celebrated the achievements of Vihaan Malhotra, the Indian U-19 World Cup winning vice-captain, today. The university awarded him Rs 2 lakh in recognition of his exceptional contribution to India’s triumphant campaign.

Malhotra played a pivotal role in India’s title-winning journey. In the final held in Bulawayo, the Indian team defeated England by a commanding 100-run margin. Malhotra’s quick-fire 30 runs off 36 balls proved crucial in setting the tone for victory. Earlier in the tournament, he had also showcased his batting prowess with a brilliant century against Zimbabwe.
Reflecting on the historic victory, Malhotra shared, “It was a really proud moment for us and the entire nation. Personally, I cannot forget that day when I lifted the cup in my hands. Being the vice-captain of the team was challenging and enjoyable at the same time. Vihaan Malhotra is currently pursuing a BBA first-year degree at Chitkara University. Returning to campus after such a monumental achievement, he described the experience as “incredibly special.
