Musa (Punjab), March 2025: – Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday visited the house of late Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala in Moosa village to pay tribute to his younger brother Shubhdeep on his first birthday. The birthday party was an emotional but happy moment for family members and well-wishers.
Born in March 2024, Shubhdeep came into the world almost 22 months after the unfortunate demise of Moosewala. His arrival was welcomed as a blessing by his parents Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, who had already thanked Waheguru and thousands of Moosewala’s fans.
At the celebration, Channi wore a black kurta-pyjama and a pink turban and stood with the family while cutting the birthday cake. Charan Kaur held the baby in her arms and his father Balkaur Singh stood proudly beside her.
Shubhdeep’s arrival filled the bereaved family with a ray of hope and joy. Sharing the news of his son’s arrival last year, Balkaur Singh had posted on Instagram, “With the blessings of millions of people who love Shubhdeep, Akal Purakh has blessed us with a younger brother for Shubh. With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy, and we are grateful to all the well-wishers who showered us with so much love.”
Popular singer and rapper Sidhu Moosewala was murdered in May 2022, leaving behind a huge legacy in the Punjabi music industry. His parents’ decision to have another child was well received by fans, who have stood by him through all the tough times even today.
Channi’s meeting with the family reflects the enduring respect and admiration he has for Moosewala and his legacy. The birthday celebration was a moment of warmth and remembrance, ensuring that Moosewala’s name will live on forever in the hearts of his fans.
