Complaints about factory’s proximity to school The accident has drawn strong criticism about the chemical plant’s proximity to the school as they share the same boundary. Residents and parents have asked authorities to take strict safety precautions so that accidents do not occur in the future. Although CFCL is a leading fertilizer manufacturing company in India, previous accidents involving gas leaks have raised doubts about safety checks and compliance in industrial areas along with residential and school districts.
Safety measures at the plant are likely to be severely scrutinized by authorities. While investigations are underway, the district administration has promised that necessary action will be initiated to maintain public safety. Information about the health condition of the affected villagers and students is expected.
