Kanpur: ACP Mohsin Khan Accused of Sexual Exploitation, FIR Lodged by PhD Scholar

Kanpur: A young lady doing her PhD from IIT has lodged a complaint against ACP Mohsin Khan who is an Ex ACP of Kanpur and ACP Cyber Crime/Collectorate. She said that she was sexually exploited as he introduced himself as unmarried when actually he was already married to someone and went on a relationship with the girl. The FIR registered with Kalyanpur police station states that ACP under false pretext of marriage raped the young lady.

Following the complaint, Mohsin Khan was immediately relieved of his duties in Kanpur and attached to the Lucknow headquarters. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the matter, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Originally a 2013 batch PPS officer from Lucknow, Mohsin Khan was posted at Kanpur on 12 December 2023 when he was also entrusted with two important jobs: the ACP Collectorate and the ACP Cyber Crime. Earlier, as Circle Officer for Taj Security in Agra, his services had already been there.

The case has caused a buzz within the police department and the general public, with authorities urging a fair and in-depth investigation of the claims.
