Senior Shiv Sena MLC Manisha Kayande has approached the Mumbai Police, requesting action against Bigg Boss OTT 3 and its creators. On Monday, she met with Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar to express concerns over what she described as “absolute vulgarity” portrayed in the show.

“Bigg Boss OTT 3 is a reality show currently in production. What is being shown is sheer vulgarity, including the involvement of a YouTube influencer who has crossed all boundaries of decency. We have submitted a letter to the Mumbai police, urging them to take action. This public display of vulgarity under the guise of a reality show raises serious questions about its impact on young minds,”Manisha Kayande said.

Dr. Kayande also plans to reach out to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to advocate for legislation regulating OTT content.

The Sena leader criticized an episode aired on July 18, which featured contestant Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik in what appeared to be an intimate moment under the covers in the Bigg Boss bedroom.

“The couple has overstepped all boundaries of human relations and social norms. The show is watched by children and it affects them. Bigg Boss is no longer a family show. Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik have crossed every limit… We have demanded the arrest of the actors and the CEO of the show,” she stated.

The leader’s call for a ban on the show follows widespread uproar on social media. While some viewers have interpreted the footage as an intimate encounter, others suggest that parts of the viral clip may have been edited from the international version of the show, Big Brother.

It has been repeatedly highlighted that Bigg Boss OTT 3 exhibits obscenities and undermines social and family values. Such shows are harmful to our cultural values. We have demanded that the Commissioner of Police immediately halt the show and take strict action against its producers,” she added in a post on X.
