Ayan Ahmed Tanveer MMS Case: Neighbours’ Warnings Ignored as Police Probe Obscene Video Racket

Ayan Ahmed Tanveer MMS: The Amravati viral MMS case in Maharashtra has taken a deeply disturbing turn as fresh details from both police investigation and local residents continue to emerge. What initially began as an online circulation of obscene videos has now opened into a larger investigation involving alleged exploitation, digital blackmail, and serious questions about negligence.

Residents of a housing society in Amravati district claim that unusual activities were going on inside a rented flat for several months, but repeated warnings to the landlord and informal complaints went unanswered. According to locals, the flat on the third floor of a building on Kathora Road in Paratwada saw frequent late-night movement of unknown individuals, which made families increasingly uncomfortable.

Several neighbours have stated that they noticed continuous activity at odd hours, including late-night visits and loud disturbances from the flat. Despite raising concerns multiple times, they allege no concrete action was taken. Some residents even say they directly informed the landlord, but their concerns were either ignored or dismissed without any investigation.

As the matter escalated, allegations have surfaced that the flat was allegedly being used to bring young women and record obscene videos. Police sources indicate that digital evidence recovered from the location points towards the creation and storage of objectionable content. Investigators are now examining electronic devices and communication records to trace how the alleged activities were carried out and whether more people were involved.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita along with provisions of the POCSO Act and IT Act. Officials have confirmed that multiple digital files, including several obscene videos and photographs, have been recovered during the probe. Authorities are also analysing social media activity to understand how the victims were contacted and whether coercion or manipulation was involved.

The case reportedly began unfolding after a dispute between two accused individuals, identified as Ayan Ahmed and Uzer Khan. Investigators believe what started as a so-called “challenge” or “bet” between them gradually turned into recording intimate content, which was later allegedly used for blackmail and financial gain. The situation came to light further after internal disputes led to the leak of certain videos, exposing a wider suspected network.

Ayan Ahmed, who has been named as the primary accused, is a 21-year-old college student from Achalpur. While he comes from a modest background, investigators are now looking into his financial transactions and possible links to illegal activities. Police are also probing whether other individuals played supporting roles in the alleged racket, including those involved in distribution or exploitation.

Authorities believe that more victims may be linked to the case and efforts are ongoing to identify and reach out to them. Digital forensic teams are working through communication data, call records, and online traces to reconstruct the entire chain of events.

The investigation is still underway, but the case has already raised serious concerns about digital safety, misuse of social media platforms, and the importance of timely response to community complaints. Residents say the situation could have been prevented if early warnings had been taken seriously, a point that is now expected to come under further scrutiny as the probe continues.
