Police in Mathura busted an alleged sex racket operating from the basement of a roadside eatery named Choti Wala Dhaba on the busy Agra–Delhi Highway. During the operation, officers detained five women and four men who were reportedly found in objectionable conditions inside small rooms constructed in the basement of the dhaba. The raid was carried out on Tuesday afternoon under the supervision of police officials from Chhata.

According to police sources, authorities had received a tip-off two days earlier about illegal activities taking place at the dhaba located near Dotana village along the highway. To verify the information, police first sent a decoy customer to the premises. After confirming the allegations, three police teams launched a raid around 3:30 PM.
As the police entered the dhaba premises, the operator of the establishment, identified as Raju alias Zakir from Kosi Kalan, reportedly fled from the scene. When officers searched the basement area, they found four to five small rooms built inside the property. In these rooms, five women and four men were allegedly discovered in objectionable circumstances.
During the search, police recovered QR code payment systems along with several objectionable items from the rooms. Officials suspect that the QR codes were used to facilitate digital payments for the illegal activities being conducted at the location.
Initial investigation revealed that four of the detained women were residents of Haryana, while one woman belonged to Mathura. During questioning, the women reportedly told police that they travelled daily from Haryana to Mathura to engage in the illegal trade. Following legal formalities, police later released the women after issuing notices.
The men detained during the raid identified themselves as Mukesh from Kota Wali Gali in Azizpur under Kosi Kalan police station, Vikram from Sherpur in Firozabad district, Gopichand from Kamla Nagar in Kosi Kalan, and another Mukesh from the same town. All of them were taken to the police station for further questioning.
Police officials stated that the dhaba operator Raju alias Zakir allegedly ran the operation with the help of his associate Mukesh. Investigators believe Mukesh played a key role in managing the illegal activities at the dhaba. Authorities also revealed that Mukesh is considered a habitual offender and has around 20 to 25 criminal cases registered against him at different police stations.
Police teams have launched a search operation to locate the absconding dhaba operator. Officials say further investigation is underway to uncover the entire network behind the alleged racket and identify other individuals who might be involved.
The incident has also raised concerns about illegal activities being carried out at roadside eateries located along major highways. Police officials indicated that more inspections could be conducted along the Agra–Delhi highway to prevent such unlawful operations in the future.
