Victim Identified as Mohan Krishna Rao

Police identified the deceased as 40-year-old Mohan Krishna Rao, who had been living with Bindu for the past few months. According to investigators, Mohan had left his wife long ago and was residing with Bindu in a house they had rented together. The two had reportedly introduced themselves to the landlord as husband and wife, though they were not legally married.

The accused have been identified as Urmila alias Bindu, along with Vinay and Dhanush Gowda. Vinay, a lorry driver by profession, had allegedly developed a close relationship with Bindu in recent months. Investigators believe the two planned to get married, but Mohan’s presence and opposition became a major obstacle.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) D L Nagesh confirmed that all three accused have been arrested and taken into custody. Speaking about the motive, he stated that Bindu and Vinay had decided to marry, but Mohan was allegedly forcing Bindu to continue living with him. Police claim the trio conspired to eliminate him to clear the path for their future together.

On the night of the incident, the accused allegedly made Mohan consume alcohol. During the confrontation, they reportedly forced him to take Viagra. When he resisted, the situation turned violent. Police say Mohan was stabbed multiple times with a knife and later suffocated with a plastic cover placed over his face. His body was found naked and gagged inside the same rented house in Manjunath Nagar.

The gruesome discovery was made nearly three days after the incident. Upon visiting the spot, officers quickly realized it was a case of murder. A formal case was registered, and an intensive investigation followed. Evidence gathered during the probe pointed to the involvement of Bindu and her two associates, leading to their arrest.

Investigators also revealed that Bindu had previously been married and was living separately from her husband. Police believe tensions escalated when Bindu and Vinay decided to formalize their relationship, and Mohan’s resistance allegedly triggered the deadly conspiracy.

All three accused remain in police custody as further investigation continues. Authorities are collecting forensic evidence and examining digital records to establish the exact sequence of events. Police officials have stated that additional charges may be added depending on the findings of the ongoing probe.

This shocking case has drawn significant public attention, especially due to Bindu’s association with the Kannada film industry. However, police have emphasized that the investigation is being carried out strictly on the basis of evidence and legal procedure.
