Agra has been shaken by a disturbing cybercrime complaint after a local woman, Ruby Tomar, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against an Instagram influencer FocusOnGauri for allegedly spreading obscene and explicit content that reached her children.
The complaint was lodged at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Agra, after Ruby Tomar, a resident of Kamla Nagar, said her children accidentally viewed an inappropriate reel while scrolling through Instagram on her mobile phone.
Children Shocked After Explicit Reel Appears
According to the FIR, Ruby Tomar’s children were watching reels when a video from the Instagram account “FocusOnGauri” suddenly appeared. The video allegedly contained vulgar visuals and inappropriate audio.
Realizing the nature of the clip, Ruby immediately snatched the phone from her children. Deeply disturbed, she later checked the profile and found that the account was filled with sexually suggestive and objectionable videos.
She stated that such content is not only morally offensive but also harmful to young minds.
Millions of Views, Thousands of Followers
Ruby Tomar further told cyber police that the influencer operates two Instagram accounts under a similar name. Each account has around 450,000 followers, while the creator also runs a Facebook page with over 10,000 followers.
Several reels posted on these accounts have crossed 14 million views, meaning the allegedly obscene material has reached millions of users, including minors.
Obscene Content and Disturbing Comments
The FIR mentions that the videos feature a woman posting vulgar and double-meaning content, often accompanied by explicit audio. The comments section is also reportedly filled with abusive and indecent remarks.
Ruby stated that many of these comments are so offensive that they cannot be publicly displayed, and they create a toxic online environment.
Influencer Identified as Agra Resident
During her inquiry, Ruby Tomar found that the woman operating the Instagram handle “FocusOnGauri” is also a resident of Kamla Nagar, Agra.
The FIR includes the influencer’s Instagram profile link and mobile details, which have been submitted to cyber police for verification.
Cyber Police Register Case, Investigation Begins
Agra Cyber Crime Police have officially registered the case and confirmed that an investigation has been initiated.
Under Indian cyber laws, publishing obscene content and making it accessible to minors can lead to serious legal consequences, including arrest, account suspension, and criminal charges.
Officials are now reviewing the videos, digital footprints, and ownership of the accounts.

This case has once again highlighted how easily children can be exposed to inappropriate content on social media platforms. Despite platform guidelines, explicit material continues to reach young viewers through viral reels and trending pages.
Parents and digital safety experts are calling for stricter regulation, faster takedowns, and tougher action against creators who misuse social media for sensational and harmful content.
