On November 7, 2025, police arrested Chanchal Kumar alias Chanchal Badmash, son of Vinod Baitha from Matuli village, in connection with the case. His mobile phone, reportedly containing evidence related to the fake video, has been seized.
Station House Officer (SHO) Lalan Kumar confirmed the arrest, saying, “The accused has been sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is ongoing.”
