UGC NET June 2025 Revised Exam Schedule Announced: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially revised the dates for the UGC NET June 2025 examination. Originally slated to begin on 21 June, the exam will now commence on 25 June and conclude on 29 June 2025. The updated schedule has been published on the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in – along with the subject-wise exam dates.

As per the notification, candidates will be allotted their Exam City Slip at least ten days before the examination. The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted in two shifts every day – the first shift will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and the second shift will run from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The test will consist of two objective-type papers with multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 will carry 100 marks, assessing general teaching and research aptitude. Paper 2 will carry 200 marks, based on the subject selected by the candidate. Both papers will be conducted in a single session without a break. Except for language papers, all other tests will be bilingual, available in both English and Hindi, depending on the candidate’s choice at the time of application.
To download the updated exam schedule, candidates must visit ugcnet.nta.ac.in, click on the schedule link on the homepage, and download the PDF for reference. It is advised to keep a printed copy for future use.
Candidates appearing for the exam can also download their UGC NET June 2025 admit card from the same portal. After visiting the website, they need to click on the admit card download link, enter their application number, date of birth, and security pin to access the document. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination center.
UGC NET continues to be a crucial examination for candidates aspiring for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs in Indian universities. This year’s exam will be held in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode for 85 subjects.
