New Delhi: Former Prime Minister and senior Congress leader Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 92. The veteran leader, known for his pivotal role in shaping India’s economic policies, had been admitted to AIIMS Delhi in critical condition earlier the same day.

Sources revealed that Dr Singh, who had retired earlier this year from the Rajya Sabha after an remarkable 33-year tenure, breathed his last at the hospital. The reason for his hospitalisation is not yet known.

Several prominent Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi, rushed to AIIMS to be with his family. Speaking on the news, Robert Vadra expressed his sorrow by posting on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “I am saddened to know that former PM Manmohan Singh ji passed away. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones. Thank you for serving our Nation. You’ll always be remembered for that economic revolution and the positive changes you made in our country.” The post is deleted, and confirmation still awaits from the family and the hospital.
