Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: The Rule continues to mint money at the box office as it collected a tremendous ₹27.75 crore on its 12th day since release. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer that hit theatres on December 5 has ensured that it remains the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.

The ₹76.6 crore figure Pushpa 2: The Rule recorded by the end of its first week stands testimony to its exceptional run. The film witnessed a huge jump on its second Saturday, which clocked ₹62.3 crore net in India. That’s an increase of 71.15% over Day 9 collection of ₹36.4 crore.
Pushpa 2 logged the highest occupancy in Mahbubnagar where Telugu show theatres witnessed 74% occupancy, while the lowest occupancy was reported at 5% in Delhi NCR, according to data from Sacnilk.

The film has been going all guns blazing on the online ticketing platforms as well. According to Ashish Saksena, COO – Cinemas, BookMyShow, Pushpa 2: The Rule has sold more than 15 million tickets on the platform. Now it stands at the second-highest-selling film on the platform after K.G.F: Chapter 2. Saksena said of the film,

Tragedy and Controversy
However, amidst all its success, a tragedy struck at the premiere of Pushpa 2. The movie witnessed a stampede killing a 35-year-old woman due to asphyxiation in Telangana’s Sandhya Theatre. Allu Arjun, who was one of the leads of the movie, was arrested on December 13 in this connection and kept in judicial custody for 14 days. He, however, approached the Telangana High Court and had his ruling appealed which granted the actor interim bail.
